Thanks to all of you who’ve written to check on my friend, Larry, the Lizard! If you didn’t catch the original story last week, please check the archives for “God Is My Bug Shield”. Larry is doing fine. I see him several times a day. He hasn’t been on another trip with me, but who knows when he’ll feel the itch to travel.

Speaking of travel, I met a friend of mine for lunch at the mall last week. We were having a neat conversation when I looked up and saw a man in a wheelchair. It was a manual machine. The man was moving along rather slowly when his four year old daughter ran up behind him and begin to push his chair. She wanted to help so much. It was written all over her face. She had this beauteous smile across her face.

Now, you and I both know that her miniscule little push had nothing to do with her Daddy’s progress across the mall floor. Her Daddy knew that, too. However, I could tell that she’d “helped” him before. He’d undoubtedly thanked her for her help and encouraged her to pitch in. What a wise father, eh?

As I was writing this piece, the following encouraging writing wandered into my mailbox. God’s timing, in my most humble opinion. What do you think? The person’s name who pulled all these together wasn’t attached. If you know who did it, please let me know.
