God upholds all things
He governs all events
He directs everything to its appointed end
He does this every time and in every circumstance
He does it all for His glory

Romans 8:28-29 (ESV)
28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[a] for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
*In God’s providence events will occur that will not be fair
In God’s providence, He may allow deep emotional or physical pain. God is involved with us even in the worst moments of our lives.
*In God’s providence He may create problems or troubles for us.
Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare[a] and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
