Psalms 1:1-3

(sorry about the quality of this recording we were having technical problems)

Sermon Highlights:

*A blessed man is supremely happy or fulfilled. They don’t allow the ungodly to influence him.
Galatians 5:19-21 (NIV1984)
19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
*The blessed man is able to discern what is ungodly by knowing what God’s Word says.
Psalms 119:24 (NLT)
Your laws please me; they give me wise advice.
*A blessed man is not constantly in a place he shouldn’t be. There are two paths: A sinner’s path or God’s path.
Matthew 7:13 (NIV1984)
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
*A blessed man is not comfortable sitting around a group of people who are criticizing others.
Proverbs 3:34 (NKJV)
Surely He scorns the scornful,
But gives grace to the humble.
*The blessed man delights in the Word NOT in the world.
How can we make God’s Word our delight?
God’s Word becomes our delight when it becomes our treasure.
Is the Word of God that important enough to us that we’re willing to obey it regardless of how we feel?
