Bible Study 10-16-11

*Here are ordinary people, living out their lives, to completion, for the glory of God.
1 – Work – The wall completed, with no miracles, in 52 days
*The people prayed and trusted God to give them strength to finish the wall.
*God completes His work with His hand – His will.
*Just because we don’t see anything happening in our lives, doesn’t mean He’s not working.  God is just working in a different way.
2 – Our character is our strongest defender. We need to be men of integrity.
I Corinthians 4:2  “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.:
*Do people see that I am faithful, trustworthy; a man of integrity?
*We must fear the Lord.
*The fear of the Lord comes with great blessing.
Proverbs 9:10-12
10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
    and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. 
11 For through me your days will be many,
    and years will be added to your life. 
12 If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you;
    if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer.”
Philippians 2:13
“for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
